Hotel reservations can be made by calling hotel directly at 253-529-4000 Mention group name United Postmasters and Managers of America (UPMA).  Our reservation block is Jan 16-20. Nightly rates are $129/dbl queen and $129 Std king rooms.   Reservations must be made by January 1, 2020.

First timers will be reimbursed their registration after attending the conference. To qualify, the first timer must be a Washington UPMA member.

Fall Conference Activities

 
 
 

Fish Tale Brewery Tour for Retirees & guests - Friday, Oct 5 - Shuttle will leave from hotel lobby promptly at 1:15pm. Tour will start at 1:30pm. It is a small brewery so tour will take 15-20 minutes. After the tour we will walk across the street to their Pub where you can purchase samplers and drinks. To stay as part of the group at the Pub, you must be able to climb stairs. Limited seating will be available on main floor. Hotel shuttle will pick us up and 4:00pm. NOTE: Dinner is on your own at 5:00pm and Retiree's Bingo Fund Raiser will begin at the hotel at 7:00pm. 

 

Batdorf & Bronson Roastery Tour for Retirees & guests - Saturday, Oct 6 - Shuttle will leave hotel lobby promptly at 1:45pm. Tour will start at 2:00pm. We will be meeting in the Roastery Tasting Room as they will not be roasting today. You can taste, purchase coffee, mugs, etc. From there you can go next door to the Farmer's Market which is the state's 2nd largest, after the Pike Place Market. Van will pick up anyone who needs to attend our Executive Board Meeting at 3:45pm in the Farmer's Market  parking lot. A second pick up back to the hotel will be made at 4:45pm. NOTE: Social Hour will begin at the hotel at 6:00pm with Buffet Dinner at 6:30pm. Dance with DJ will follow.

 

Capitol Tour for EVERYONE at 11:;00am - Sunday, Oct 7. This is a private tour for all UPMA attendees and their guests, conducted by a Docent. UPMA has paid for this tour so don't miss it!  DID YOU KNOW that the Capitol has the largest collection of Tiffany Brass in the world? Directions on where to meet will be announced at the Convention.
